Investigation of open-source and maker movements, open design principles and DIY 2.0 practices in design. Exploration of models of open knowledge sharing, open-source licensing, and the Design Global Manufacture Local (DG-ML) approach. Examination of city-level circular economies and cosmolocalism as frameworks for distributed and sustainable design.
