Fundamentals of fluid, heat, and mass transport in biomedical systems; rheology of biological fluids; modeling of fluid flow in circulation and tissues; bioheat transfer modeling; thermoregulation, thermal injury, thermal therapy and cryopreservation; biological mass transport modeling, transport coefficients of biomaterials, biochemical and particle-fluid- structure interactions; applications in biomedical device design, drug delivery, and mechanobiology.
