Course content

This course gives a multidisciplinary approach, with an emphasis on the interface of ecology, genetics, physiology, and the study of behavior and development, and evolutionary processes. Application of information from molecular biology to the organismic and higher levels of organization. Major topics in this interdisciplinary course include the concept of stress and its evolutionary and ecological importance; genetic variation in stress response and the effects of stress on genetic variation; costs and benefits involving stress responses.
