Printed in the catalogue as STUDIES IN ROMAN ARCHITECTURE
Course content
This is a seminar without lectures. Students will be assigned weekly readings which will be discussed in class. When the slate of readings is completed at the end of the semester, students will acquire both a fundamental factual knowledge and an overall idea of basic concerns, developments and problems in Roman architecture. In addition to weekly readings, each student will have one special reading that will be presented to the entire class. This reading will focus on a prominent monument. The final exam will be based on the common readings.
